I'm hoping not. While I've never actually owned a vehicle made there, I'd rather Detroit pull itself together and get back in the game.

GM's apparently taking a pretty big gamble on the same hope. The much tauted Volt is proof at least that they are willing to take risks. A good article here:

That's an awesome article. I agree with you though, we want Detroit to win and the great thing about stuff like the Tesla is that it pushes all to keep up.
